Yesterday the girls and I went to the mall with some friends. Madeline and her friends, Emma and Jade, saw the Easter bunny for the first time as we walked up to the very full playground. We decided to bring them back after we finished shopping. Soon Madeline looked at me and said, "I want to go see him." I said, "Him who?" (As I had already forgotten about the Bunny) She said in slow motion, "IIIII Wannnnnt toooo goooo seeee hiiiiiiiiim!" (Because when she talks slow I can figure out what in the world she is talking about).  She finally said something about the Big Bunny Him. So I told her she'd see him when we went back to play on the playground. Then she said, "Is the Easter Bunny as big as Jesus?" So then we had to talk about pretend and real. Well, she did get to give the Bunny a high 5 and a hug. Much later last night she pipes up with, "I felt the man's hand!" You can imagine that I wasn't very excited about her feeling a man's hand! (Having once again forgotten about the Bunny). So I said what man? To which she replied in slow motion, "the maaaaaaan's hannnnnnnd" After about 5 minutes I figured out she was talking about the man inside the bunny. She figured out he was in there when he gave her a high 5! She now wants dress up clothes that look like an Easter bunny.
