Last night I had the weirdest experience since moving to Texas. Some neighbors down the block had a massive (teenage) party. I got home from our Mother/daughter tea (great job Julie!) and thank goodness it was still light out. There were teens everywhere on my street. Around 10 I finally called the cops because it was so loud and they were roaming everywhere. It got quiet for about 10 minutes until a fight broke out in front of my neighbor's house. So I called the cops again. About this time all the other neighbors came out of their houses and stood with arms crossed glaring down the road. That part was quit a humorous sight. At one point, trying to get Madeline to sleep, I suggested listening to the crickets. (They were loud too). Well finally she piped up with "Mommy, those crickets are not very big because that party is louder!" By the time the cops came (i counted 6 squad cars) she had drifted off to sleep and between 6-8 neighbors were having a scowling party across the street from my house. Don't worry - we were safe - there are two families in our church that live in our neighborhood and I could have called them at any moment if I needed to and Danielle was keeping track of the noise progress. Thanks Danielle! =) But I am glad Scott will be home tonight!
