Today I put Madeline down for a nap and she wasn't very happy about it. I turned at the door to do our traditional "I love you" sign and to my utter shock she had her tongue sticking out. I said, "Did you just stick your tongue out at me?" "No," she said, shaking her head violently. I said, "I saw you stick it out! That's so rude." "Well, Brother was following you out and I was sticking my tongue out at HIM!" (Most of you know that we don't have any sons which means she doesn't have a brother) Brother is her imaginary friend who gets blamed for all the bad choices she makes.
