Myah and hangman

Myah likes to join us for school sometimes. So I thought the spelling game would be fun since we were playing hangman. I thought she could just say a letter for her turn. That turned out to be more difficult than I thought. It was Myah's turn to pick a letter. She said excitedly, "8". I said, "no a letter: a, b, c, d..." She said, "Ok, 18" Trying not to laugh at her, I said, "well we might need to work on your letters" The best part was the letters are on a chart right by the board and she was looking at it. =) She got the idea as we played a bit more but it funny. When it was her turn to hold the marker she wanted to do numbers. She drew the hangman gallows up on the board and put three lines for the numbers she was thinking of. Madeline and I had to guess what numbers she was thinking of. Again, sounds easier than it turned out to be. Her thoughts are a bit shifty. Two numbers she thought of AFTER we had already guessed them once. It took us a while to figure THAT out! She had fun though and she had the cutest smile when she decided the number we guessed was actually the one she was thinking of!
