God is enough

"Praise be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. amen and amen. This concludes the prayers of David son of Jesse." Ps72:18-20 What words will be on my lips at the end of my life? What will you be saying? "I wish I would have...." "I'm sorry about...." "I need more time to...." David sang praises to God until the end. He was one of a handful of kings that didn't turn away from God when given power, prestige and money. He had his moments and sinned like all humanity but he never stopped singing the praises of his God. He was a man after God's own heart. When he was happy - he sang (and danced). When he was sad - he sang (and wept bitterly). When he was repenting - he sang. His life was an act of worship. Today, as I'm examining my heart, I'm wondering if I can say the same. So often we only sing when we are happy and blessed but the thing is - God is enough. That's why it doesn't matter what the circumstances are - we sing. May my life be an act of worship. May the praises of the Lord always be on my lips!
